Louis G. Pillari

Louis Pillari is a Licensed Funeral Director in both New York and Florida, with over 35 years of experience in all aspects of funeral service. He is the Founder of the Oyster Bay Funeral Home and has proudly called the community home his entire life. A deeply involved parishioner, Lou works closely with both St. Dominic RC Church in Oyster Bay and St. Gertrude RC Church in Bayville. His extensive community ties include active membership in the Nassau-Suffolk Funeral Directors Association, the Oyster Bay Knights of Columbus Council 1206, the Italian-American Citizens Club of Oyster Bay, the Oyster Bay Chamber of Commerce, the Oyster Bay Civic Association, and the Nassau Country Club. Additionally, Lou serves as an Exempt Volunteer Firefighter with the Bayville Fire Company, where he has held the role of Funeral Committee Chairman. Lou is married to his wonderful wife, Corinna, who is also part of the Oyster Bay Funeral Home team. Together, they have two children, Alexandra and Louis Jr. Outside of his professional life, Lou enjoys golfing, platform tennis, fishing, and skiing. Known for his genuine compassion, Lou’s sincere, caring, and professional demeanor is widely recognized throughout the community he serves.

Melissa Schmidt

Melissa Schmidt is a Licensed Funeral Director in New York State and has been a Managing Funeral Director at Oyster Bay Funeral Home for over ten years. A lifelong resident of the community, she is deeply rooted in both her professional and personal life here. Melissa currently serves as Vice President of the Nassau Suffolk Funeral Directors Association, advocating for the industry and its standards. Known to many as the TikTok star “Funeral Babe” online, Melissa has built a reputation as a well-known online personality, sharing insights and creating a unique voice within the funeral industry. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Melissa is a dedicated supporter of various charitable organizations and a committed parishioner at St. Dominic RC Church in Oyster Bay. Outside of work, Melissa loves spending time with her family and friends and has a passion for creating custom art and craft items. Her warm, compassionate demeanor is felt by everyone she serves, making her an invaluable resource during some of life’s most difficult moments. Melissa’s genuine care and professional approach continue to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those she serves.



Corinna Pillari

Corinna Pillari is a dedicated administrative professional at Oyster Bay Funeral Home, where she manages accounting, supply orders, and building maintenance. She plays an integral role in ensuring the facility's appearance and functionality, overseeing decorating and remodeling projects. Working alongside her husband, Louis Pillari, the owner, Corinna brings compassion and care to families during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Outside of her work at the funeral home, Corinna has been actively involved in her community. She has served as Secretary of the St. Dominic Elementary School Board and as Treasurer for the Immaculate Heart of Mary Guild. She has also volunteered with the Oyster Bay East Norwich Boys and Girls Club. Currently, Corinna is a member of the St. Dominic Ladies Bible Study Group. In addition to her work in funeral services, Corinna is a realtor serving the North Shore community, and the Jupiter Florida area. She enjoys a variety of hobbies, including cooking, golfing, boating, and traveling. Above all, she treasures spending quality time with her husband, Louis, and their two children.

Louis Pillari Jr. is the son of the owner, Louis Pillari, and a dedicated member of the funeral home team. A graduate of Chaminade High School in 2015, he went on to earn his Bachelor’s of Science degree from the Sigmund Weis School of Business at Susquehanna University in 2019. Currently, Louis is pursuing his Mortuary Science degree at Nassau Community College to become a licensed funeral director.

With his deep knowledge of funeral services, local florists, churches, and everything related to the services we offer, Louis is committed to helping families navigate their most difficult times with compassion and professionalism. His personal connection to the business and ongoing education ensure that he’s well-equipped to provide the support and guidance families need during a time of loss.
