Relyea, Eileen R. – on Nov. 22, 2015, age 67, of Bayville, NY. Beloved wife of David. Loving mother of Renee Doboy (David), Jeremiah (Genevieve), Martha Mihaltses (Aristotle). Cherished Grammy of Jesse, Griffin, and Hunter. Dear sister of Thomas Griffin (Kathy), Paul Griffin (Irene), and Patricia Griffin. Cherished friend of Kathy Nirschl. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Visiting Oyster Bay Funeral Home, 261 South St., Oyster Bay, NY Tuesday 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service Christ Church, Oyster Bay, NY Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. Interment is private. Eileen was an active and enthusiastic member of Christ Church and Christ Church Choir in Oyster Bay, as well as other choral groups. She loved singing and listening to classical and choral music and swimming at West Harbor Beach in Bayville and at the YMCA in Glen Cove. She also enjoyed listening to trumpet music, specifically Big Band music, as her father, Chris Griffin played trumpet in the Benny Goodman Band and on the Ed Sullivan Show. She came from a musical family, and has passed her love of music on to her children. Eileen will be missed by many, and remembered for her kindness and dry sense of humor.
