I didn’t know Tony, but I bought his Bass Drum to add to my 1953 kit. His name is still inside it written in pencil and dated 1953. I will be sure it is well taken care of and I will think of him every time I play it.

It has been over two years since you left us and not a day goes by that you aren't thought of and missed very much. I know you visit often in small gestures that always remind me of you. I love you, daddy. Mel

I only recently met Pop in the past few years, but oh boy was he one of a kind. He loved his family greatly, and always treated me like family since the moment I met him. Pop raised great kids who will carry on his legacy and memory of him will live on forever. Rest in peace, Pop. We all loved you.

Sending our deepest condolences and prayers to family and friends. I first met Tony about 14 years ago when he and Sam stayed at our small cabin during hunting season... I had to remove all of the smoke alarms in the house because Tony was fixing a huge breakfast feast for all of the hunters! He said he was use to a gas stove and didn’t like the electric stove but wow the man could cook!!! While cleaning up breakfast he was already planning and cooking lunch and dinner!! What a blessed man, and will be greatly missed by so many.

To my Father In Law and Brother In Arms , Midtown South, NYPD .
Pop was a loving Father , and the sun rose and set on his grandchildren .
Pop would give you the shirt off of his back and the last dollar in his pocket.
Pop would always lend a hand to anything that needed to be fixed.
As a boy , Pop was a drummer in the Brooklyn Dodger Sim - Phony.
Pop served the city and state of NY honorably in the NYPD.
He enjoyed simple things like taking his grandchildren out on his boat fishing .
Pop had zero patience to sit in a tree and freeze his behind off during
deer hunting season , but he would stay in the cabin , cook , and we would
all eat like we were going to the electric chair.
Pop will be greatly missed by his family .
I will see you on the other side
May God rest his soul .
Love ,
Richard Mangogna

I was so sorry to hear the news. I lost my Dad recently as well. Such a difficult thing...
I have great memories of when your Dad came to visit you, Sam when we were at Riddle and stayed over with us. He was a fixer your dad. (He was on his vacation, but still rolled up his sleeves and helped me change the water pump in my car!). I enjoyed learning from him.
Keep your memories of him close and your family closer during this time. You are all in my thoughts.
