Obituary of John S. Sadocha
John Sadocha, 59, born on February 4, 1966, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. Originally from Wantagh, Long Island, he resided in Oyster Bay, New York, with his beloved family and dogs. John was a devoted husband to Sabine and a loving father to his three children, Christopher, Anna Lee, and Stefanie. He also shared a special bond with his dogs—Charlie, Sammy, Penny, and Fiona—who brought great joy to the family over the years.
In 2020, John was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease, a challenge that changed his life dramatically. Over the course of the disease, he loved attending the Day Break program at the Oyster Bay Life Enrichment Center.
John’s passion for music was a defining part of his life. He had an extensive career working in the music business and more. John was a classical guitarist, a member of the band Counter Culture, a music teacher, leader of family band practice and more over the years. More than anything, John loved sharing his love for music with those around him.
Most importantly, John was a family man. He cherished nature and found happiness in camping trips, hiking, skiing, and traveling with his loved ones.
John’s smile and positive energy could light up any room. Even after his diagnosis, his kind spirit and warmth remained. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
