Even though I haven’t seen my uncle Kevin since my early teens, I have fond memories of him. I remember staying with him, Aunt Mary, and Kara and Katie for a few weeks one summer. We had such a nice time together.
The Keenan reunions we had back when we were kids are something we still talk about today. I found a few photos I hope spark some fun memories.
Rest in peace Uncle Kevin ❤️

Kevin was one of life's gentlemen. We had the pleasure of his company and hospitality on a few occasions when we visited from Ireland. He definitely treated Mary's family like his own. Nothing was too much trouble for him. We have great memories of sitting out in the porch, chatting and listening to his stories. We will cherish those memories. Rest in Peace, Kevin. Kevin was my baby brother who was always to little for me to hang around. As we grew up we grew apart but he was always there for all family functions. I remember him as a quiet, but never serious, gentle soul. ready to help with whatever needed to be done. His quietness was what made him a great person. Gods will for you little brother.

I will always remember Kevin as a gentle soul. Being my mother’s brother, he was my uncle. But, being only a few years older than me, he always felt more like a cousin. I have so many wonderful memories of Kevin. When I was very young, he was a part of that wonderful Keenan clan, in Little Neck, that enveloped me in my youth. When he got out of the Navy, I remember he and his older brother (my uncle) Jack visiting me at college out in Colorado. As adults, he had a pleasant laid back manner, and was always quick with a smile, as he would greet me with a “Hey, Jackie”. I will miss him.

Kevin was the kind of person who had your back when you needed him. Our Uncle Pete said he was a natural when spackling the sheet rock in his basement. He served his country in the US Navy and worked for years at Grumman Aircraft. And he sang for many years in the St. Dominic Church Choir. God Bless him and may he rest in peace.

He was my big brother! We played at the city park together with our friends! My girlfriends liked him. So they liked coming to our house! He was a great big brother!

Perhaps I’m the first to share, so I’ll start with some firsts. Kevin was the first person to show me C G D on the guitar. He also was the first to take me out to play golf. A not so memorable round for either of us. I believe he may have been the first to leave a pack of cigarettes around unattended.. no he never suggested or offered. That’s on me. We had some fun times and I’ll always remember him as a sweet and jovial soul. Rest in Peace Kevin. You’ll be missed by all.
