The three days I last got to see my Grandmother were the absolute most memorable and beautiful we both ever shared. I could fully feel and embrace all the love she truly had stored up for me in her heart but never had in depth let me know prior. She had told me the story of how she purchased her wedding dress and how it was the first and only one she ever tried on. We talked about stories of her life in New York and how she had always wished she could have come back one last time to see it. She made sure in her final days to make sure I knew how pretty I was and I made sure she knew that it was because I look so much like her. She would endlessly tell me how much she loved me and how proud of me she was over and over again knowing that Jesus was coming to take her home soon. I was even lucky enough to witness her be visited by my aunt Dolores in spirit, knowing she would be taken care of on the other side. I will forever be grateful for those last three days as they have made my heart full in this moment of sorrow. I love you too Grams, I always have and I always will no matter. May you have found peace and I’ll see you in paradise one day.
