Obituary of Carlos Felix Montero
With deep sadness, we share the passing of Dr. Carlos F. Montero on October 12, 2025, at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset. Carlos was a devoted husband, brother, uncle, friend, and healer whose kindness and skill touched countless lives. As an orthopedic surgeon, he cared for his patients with compassion and calm dedication. Beyond medicine, Carlos was an avid fisherman and talented cook who loved sharing meals with family and friends. His curiosity, strong spirit and conviction is how he will be remembered.
He is survived by his beloved wife Evelyn Montero; sisters Marta Amanda Montero and Betty Susana Montero; stepson Steven Shen, his wife Lia, and their son Shelton; and many dear nieces and nephews, including Rosana, Valeria, Regina, Juan Pablo, Guadalupe, and Sebastian, and their families.
Carlos will be remembered for his strength, humility, and joy. May his memory be a blessing and his life an inspiration to us all.
