Len Genovese was an icon in his industry. He was well respected for his leadership and his vision for the future of the drugstore industry. For several years, I had a front row seat while the company grew and expanded under his leadership.
But that’s really just a small part of the story. Len was a gentleman, to be sure, a tough and challenging gentleman, but only knew one way to conduct his business and his life. Simply said, it was always the right way. His ethics and his willingness to push the envelope as far as it could go, but never cross any line that anyone could consider inappropriate or excessive.
And as tough as he was, he had a kindness in his heart that was so readily accessible to all that he cared for. I can’t imagine a better role model for leadership and character. He most certainly will be missed by all of the Genovese’s family and those of us who had the opportunity to work with him and learn from him.
God bless you, Len, Dan Miele.

Working at Genovese was my first Job at 16 and I left 22 yrs later after being sold to Eckerd. This hands down was the best job i ever had in my career. It wasnt just a job it was a family and that is because of Mr G!
He always made you feel appreciated and valued. He would take the time to talk to you and hear what you had to say. Some of the best meetings i was apart of with him were at his house in Vermont where we would all brain storm on how we were going to improve the business. He also cooked some of the best steaks after our meetings. Without Mr G and my start at Genovese I would never have accomplished what I have so far in my career. Godbless you and Thank you Mr G. My sincere condolences to the Genovese family.

My condolences to the entire Genovese family. Leonard was such a wonderful man who was more than generous and compassionate. Respected by all, he will always be remembered as a beloved leader who inspired an entire organization to great success. Leonard’s passion was contagious and created a team that was by far the best I have ever had the pleasure of being part of. We will all miss him terribly as he meant so such to so many. Thank you for everything Leonard.

I would like to share this memory ( One of so many)
My brother was ill and in St Frances Hospital. I knew he was in a great hospital but when I went outside and looked at the plaque on the wall, it read donated by Leonard and Geraldine Genovese. A calm came over me because now I knew he was in the best room. Thank You for your generosity Sir
My Condolences to the Family. May he Rest In Peace

Uncle Len was always the life of the party --larger than life, big booming laugh, and (dare I say) cigar and scotch in hand. He is the center of the extended family, several extended families. I already miss him terribly. Sending so much love to all of the Genovese Clan
