Donna, William and John, I am saddened to hear of your mom’s passing. She was always such a good friend to my parents, and will always be “Aunt Nora” to us. She and you three are a big part of fond memories, growing up on Hilltop Drive. I can still hear her beautiful Irish accent. May you and your families feel her love always, and may she rest in peace.
Much love, Patty Ahlstrand

Nora was a true warrior for the Catholic faith she fully embraced and loved. She was actively teaching religion to our youth this very semester days before she peacefully went home to her eternal rest. She was an anchor at St. Gertrudes, her love for Jesus whom she recognized in all people, was inspiring and powerfully uplifting. Her memory will live on for many years to come, and we all will miss the warmth with which she greeted so many parishioners with genuine affection. Her ever joyful demeanor reflected the inner peace she possessed, radiating God's grace and welcoming the Lord to journey with her each day. Her front row seat closest to the pulpit will feel truly empty but our hearts will remain full and better for having known this dear powerhouse of a woman. Nora, may you rest in the peace of the Lord as you remain alive in the many hearts you touched over a lifetime. You will be missed but never forgotten. Prayers for all the family that will mourn their loss but celebrate her life well lived.
Our musicians will be with you in spirit as you bask in the celestial tones.
WIth love and prayers from all the Kende Family.
