I was a classmate of John's at Hofstra Law School. He was well ahead of me in his career, very accomplished already by the time we met, but you never would have known it by how he treated me and our other classmates. He always was a gentleman, and it was an honor to know him. I'm saddened to learn of his passing, and I extend my condolences to all his loved ones.

Don't know you but know you son, John. John, Kim and I grew up together from the early 70s, maybe longer for Kim and John. John talked about you a lot. Sure he's going to miss you very much. Wish I could of got to meet you. But sometimes things just don't work out. Rest in peace.

Mr. Kennedy was the father of my best friend, Jennifer, but to me he was always simply “Mr. Kennedy.” He was a genuinely kind man who always had a smile on his face and an infectious laugh that could brighten any room.
He was a protector to everyone around him, and you always felt safe when he was near. The love he had for his children was easy to see in everything he did.
Mr. Kennedy will remain in my thoughts and prayers. I hope Jennifer and the entire family find peace and comfort in the wonderful memories they shared with him.

Judge
I am at a loss. Actually no words. Well, I always have a lot to say! You knew that! You have been my roll model! You have instilled in me laughter, humility, kindness, and above all your love of people. Being by your side as your court clerk taught me lessons beyond! Thank you! Every police officer is better because of you. I am better because of you. Gratitude! Thank you my Judge John Kennedy. Thank you for your friendship and your wisdom. I send all my love and prayers to Carol Thank you! I am truly blessed.
