Obituary of Hunter Reid Lewis

Hunter Lewis, of Bayville, New York, passed away unexpectedly as the result of a tragic automobile accident in San Diego, California, on July 22, 2026, at the age of 32.

Born on April 17, 1994, Hunter was known for his adventurous spirit, kind heart, and free-spirited nature. He had a remarkable ability to connect with people and will be remembered for his warmth, infectious smile, sense of humor, and the joy he brought to everyone fortunate enough to know him. Hunter found purpose in helping others and believed deeply in the power of hope, second chances, and living each day to the fullest.

Hunter was predeceased by his loving parents, John Lewis and Francine Blackwell, as well as his beloved grandparents. He is survived by his devoted brothers, Taylor Lewis and Gabriel Brown; his loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family; and many cherished friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Though Hunter's life was cut far too short, the love he shared and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. While our hearts are forever changed by his loss, we find comfort in the memories he leaves behind and in the light that will continue to shine through everyone who loved him.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation at Oyster Bay Funeral on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held during the visitation.
