I met Michael in the 90's when we worked together at Photobition in Sales... and had kept in touch ever since. We both lived in the same neighborhood and would meet up every few months for a beer & catch up. He was a very kind soul and I will miss him dearly. God Bless.

I met Michael only once or twice during his time as The Catman in my friend Tom Pressano's Kiss cover band, Kiss Alive NYC, but during these occasions he seemed to be a good and humble guy. After one show in particular he approached my friend Jack and I, asked us if we dug the show and was far more personable than you'd expect an individual of his talent would be. From everything Tommy told be about him he was an individual who gave you his all, and in a world of mediocrity and insincerity that's more than you can expect from most. Sadly, not everyone can defeat their demons... R.I.P. Michael...

My heart is so sad over the loss of this fine young man. I am so so shocked and cannot imagine your family's grief over this loss. I met Michael when he worked at Graphic Service Bureau in Manhattan. I remember him as a kind hearted and warm person. We remained friends on Facebook for quite some time. I hope that he is resting peacefully. I pray that the family will find peace,

To the Haar Family,
Please accept my condolences I saw KISS Alive few years back when they came to Massachusetts and I became friends with Mike from the Bands FB page. We liked similar music. He always seemed genuine and kind when corresponding. I was saddened to learn of his passing.

My dear friend Mike, so sad you had to go, my brother. Thank you for your friendship. We had a lot fun times together- trips we went on to Hawaii and the Caribbean, motorcycle rides, your visits to California, and all the times we spent together as friends in New York in the 90’s. You helped me get a job when I desperately needed one. You played drums in my band once. You were truly my brother from another mother. You always made time to see me when I came back to New York to visit. It’s hard to believe just three weeks ago we were sharing a beer, laughing, and catching up. You had a great sense of humor and always found a way to make me laugh. Thank you for being my friend and for sharing some fun moments with me in this great journey of life. I will miss you greatly. Happy to have known you and shared good times with you. You will always be a great friend and I look forward to seeing you again in the next life. You will be in my thoughts and memories for all my days. I wish you peace, rest, and happiness in the next life. I am so sorry for your family's loss. My deepest condolences.
I got to know Michael about 9 years ago through our love of motorcycles. He was a great person and very fun to be around, we would talk about our favorite motorcycles into the early hours of the morning. He was very talented and I got to see him perform at some shows he invited me to. I am so shocked and saddened to hear this news and my heart goes out to your family. May he rest in peace. I'm going miss him very much.
