I am so very saddened to hear of your dad/husband's passing. It seems like just yesterday that I was over at your house saying hi to him while spending time with Gail (circa 1988). There are no words to convey the sadness and loss you are facing. Time is precious and you now have an angel in heaven dedicated to you. My thoughts are prayers are extended to your entire family. Carol and Family--We are so very sorry for your great loss. Hal was a constant in our town and neighborhood. We would always see him at the library or S&S and he always had a kind word and helpful smile. Our kids always knew all was right with the world when they saw him at the library after school. He will be sorely missed. Harriet, Jerry, Ben and Laurel Dorfman. P.S. Hey Kiddoo! Will always remember those words in his voice.

To the Havekotte family: I am so sorry to hear about Harold's passing. I was employed by the NYSE from 1968-2005 and knew Harold for so many years on the Trading Floor in the main room and blue room. He always had a smile and a great sense of humor. And he always showed me in jest the strength he had. He would shake my hand and would laugh when I tried to break loose. I can still clearly hear his voice and laugh and see his doing this when I think about him. And also seeing him run about the trading floor buying stock. But always the best was his consistent good nature, sensitivity and humor everyday on that trading floor even in the middle of what was sometimes chaos. He brought light to that place. And when I then worked upstairs in the offices, would still get to see him occasionally on the 6th floor (executive suites) My thoughts and prayers are with you and he.
