Schaefer, John L. Jr. - on Sep. 30, 2012, age 28, of Bayville, NY. Favorite son of John and Susan Schaefer. Beloved brother of Michele. Loving Fianc of Meghan Mitchell. Cherished grandson of Claire and Jim Jarman. Also survived by many loving relatives and friends. He was a devoted and proud Marine who served his country during Operation Iraqi Freedom, member of both American Legion Robert H. Spittell Post 1285 and Oyster Bay V.F.W. Post 4.
