Reid, William J. - on Oct. 4, 2013, age 98, of Oyster Bay, NY. Beloved husband of the late Sarah Ann Bailey/ Reid. Cherished son of the late Alice and Lloyd Reid. Survived by 6 loving children, 25 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and many loving friends and relatives. William Reid was recently honored and recognized as one of the first residents of Oyster Bay and was an active member of Hood AME Zion Methodist Church of Oyster Bay. Visiting Hood AME Zion Church, South Street, Oyster Bay Thursday 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Hood AME Zion Church, South Street, Oyster Bay, on Friday, Oct 11, at 11 a.m. Interment Pine Hollow Cemetery.
