Obituary of Hillary L. Coston
Please share a memory of Hillary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Hillary “Hill” Louise Coston
In East Meadow, New York, Hillary (Hill) Louise Coston was born on January 27, 1960 to proud parents, Gloria Walker and Julius Coston. The bubbly, playful, singing sister of nine siblings, Hillary was definitely the life of the party. It is impossible to say that you've ever met Hill, and never saw her smile. Her infectious laughter could heal any wounds. Family, friends, and strangers alike were inspired by her warmth, her spirit, and kindness.
While her life may have seemed short to some, those whom she touched knew that for Hillary, life was not about quantity, but about quality. She found profound happiness in the success and health of her children, listening to music, the entertainment and challenge of puzzles and the confidence and commitment to her life's journey. Her humble spirit complimented her resilience and triumphs which was an inspiration to the people closest to her.
The world was a better place because Hillary lived in it… because she smiled… We thank God that she passed this smile onto to her beloved children Chantel Coston-Lundi, Matthew Coston, Tevin Boone, Yvonne Boone and Malik Coston. Dhani Lundi and Josiah Lundi, her cherished grandchildren, will continue to carry on her legacy.
Hillary was preceded in death by her sisters Cassie Coston, Margo Coston, Sharon Coston and Shawnee Coston, as well as by a brother, Michael Coston. Her memory will be forever cherished by her brothers Clinton Chapman (Ruby), Darrell Walker, John “Jack” Coston, Julius “Butch” Coston, Julius “Juice” Coston, Kim Walker (Mary) and Oscar “Wayne” Walker, along with her sisters Dana Poindexter (John) and Moria Walker (Benjamin). Hillary will remain dear in the hearts of her aunts Mae Ella Hicks and Rachel Stratton, and her nieces, nephews, cousins and host of extended family members and friends shall forever warmly revere her.
Absent in person, but omnipresent in heart, spirit and thought…
