Gee Glenn the first time I knew of your Dad is when Frank went to the office building and saw Dan's Christmas card and we found the connection. Frank always said your Dad (before we knew the connection) was so inviting at the office and always asked what he could give to the guys who came to service the air conditioning. What a great incidence for us all. I am sorry for your Dad's passing. May he be flying with the angels above.

Dear Eileen, Glen, Larraine and family, Past Commander Len Hecht, JN was one of Oyster Bay Sail and Power Squadron's most outstanding members. Dedicated to the Club, Len was a kind, gentle man who never seemed to tire and was willing to share his energy for the betterment of the Club, its Members and the Community.
The members of the Oyster Bay Sail and Power Squadron mourn the loss of our dear friend, Past Commander Len Hecht, but are consoled knowing that he is resting in the arms of the Lord.
We will miss him always.

He was so generous and loving. He made me feel like immediate family in the short time that I knew him. He was the essence of what is great about New Yorkers, the unquestioned respect and compassion toward humanity.

Aunt Eileen, Larraine & Glenn,
Len was one of the most generous man I met, he always made you feel welcomed when I visited or called, he will be truly missed. Len shared his time & knowledge, always offered to take you out on the sailboat, and than let novices pilot it and rig the sails. I know the first time Eddie met Len we went out on the boat and Eddie couldn't believe Len turned the wheel over to him.

Dear Eileen and Glen,
I was surprised to read about your husband and father. I know he wasn't in the best of health, when I was stationed at Queen of Peace.
I want to assure you of my prayers, at this time of sorrow, and we always recall so many memories of those we loved. Len was so supportive of you both. One could tell he had great respect and love for you both. He was always present at the different events you had at the Home, or whenever you performed, as Eileen gave out the programs and Len smiled at everyone. He was so proud of you, Glen!
Wish we could be there for the memorial service, but prayer is good no matter where we are....distance and all.
Thank you for letting me know and I sure miss all the lovely things you put on with the Chorale. You all live in my grateful prayer.

You have been family to me and Len will be missed as family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all in your loss and I send condolences from my sisters and families.Len made it possible for so many of us to do what we love..."make a joyful noise". His generosity opened the door for the beauty of music...the joy of spirit for many, many people over many years. I know he will be blessed for that, and for that, and more, he will be missed. Len, rest in Peace and Joy.

When I think of Len, I think of a life well lived. A dear man who gave so much of his time and support to others. It sounds so trite to say I share in your loss, but I do. Over the past few days, I have been thinking of the good times and laughs we all shared, especially those two trips to Rome. Len, thanks for the memories!
