Burt was such an asset to Beaver Dam. His extraordinary mechanical skills kept the ice making machines and Zambonis in top working order. And he was an expert at maintaining the ice. Trips to Beaver Dam were always enhanced by a visit with Burt. He was one of those folks who made you feel like you were the most important person on earth. Burt was an avid aviation enthusiast with a hobby of building and flying remote controlled aircraft. We always talked about aviation and I was intrigued to learn how difficult it was to control those model aircraft. And he enjoyed listening to my experiences flying for the airlines. We were good friends and a trip to Beaver Dam wasn’t complete without spending time with Burt. He will be missed.

Burt Sniffen and I were patients at the same dialysis center. I quickly became friends with Burt and his wife Judy. I found them to be selfless people who would do anything for their friends. Burt would often torture me when he’d tell me the wonderful things Judy would cook him for dinner several hours before my own dinner. He was an easy going lovely man and no matter his medical issues, he was always the most friendly, pleasant fellow you’d ever meet. Burt, G-d bless you, you will be sorely missed by many.

Dear Burt,
Our Village church will always miss you. Thank you for all those years of good service to the church and the community.
I Thank God for Judy who I saw working hard and took good care of Burt. Christlike care she modeled for us.
I will always remember you and your cheerful and faithful ways of welcoming me when I visited you, and the song and the stories of your youth and how you used to teach the Sunday school. Thank you for everything that you have done. I know what you may say, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." ( 2 Tim.4:7) Now you are getting the crown from the Lord! See you soon at home!
May the peace, comfort and the hope of heaven be with you and your family, In Christ Jesus our Savior!
Lydia Han, Pastor from the Village Church.

I remember Burt at Sound Side Beach at many 8am Worship on the beach United Methodist Church services. I remember his sense of humor. He often chose a hymn to sing "Let the Lower Lights be Burning." He guided many decisions for me to have a safe and sound place to live recovering from Hurricane Sandy. I wish he could see it completed.
Dear Judy we are surrounding you with prayers for strength and support as you face these difficult days. You show us how to be the best at caring and advocating quality care for a husband.
