I have so many memories of Aunt Elsie. First meeting her with her little dog(Pepe I think). The first time I dropped Sean off for my parents to babysit, Aunt Elsie was there. When I was expecting Kyle, she gave me some advise based on her experience with little Paul. She was always so kind.. And now she is with Uncle Pete.
Lovingly Anne Marie

Paul, I remember the day your father, Pete, came home with an engagement ring for her. He was like a big kid in his excitement, telling us he was going to propose that evening. He couldn't wait to give it to her. All the family was gathered together at your grandparents' house on East 96th Street in Canarsie, Brooklyn. She was so surprised and they were both so happy!

Hi Marie,
Elizabeth and I never spoke about Canarsie. Where did your parents live on East 96th St? I grew up at 1582, near Avenue N! Did you go to PS 115? Elizabeth must be laughing about this coincidence! I hope so....she loved to laugh!
Elizabeth's friend,
Natalie

Elsie was my neighbor on Joy Blvd. She always had a smile for you. No one could whip up an outfit quite like Elsie! One of my fondest memories is when the whole block got to go over for homemade Calzones!! With Love- Beth

Among my most cherished, childhood memories are our family visits to your mom and dad's home in Baldwin, Long Island. Even as a child, I knew there was something magical about your mom's character and personality, as was always evident by the sparkle in her eyes. Her talented and beautiful presence could fill a room. I can still hear her laughter and her one of a kind voice calling "Paul!" though the house. Her lively contribution to whatever dinner conversation was going on, among the adults at the table, was always mesmerizing to me, as a child. So happy I was able to visit with her in her last years, where she had such encouraging words for me, regarding some personal choices I've made in my life. She spoke from her authentic self, from a place of personal strength, and conviction, conveying her deep admiration and acceptance. No one before, or since, has ever quite been able to convey such encouraging words. I hope to visit with her again . . . one day . . . in Heaven.

Elizabeth and I met about 27 years ago when she was recommended to me as an excellent seamstress. I ultimately felt that she became the sister that I never had. I already miss the days that we met for lunch at Lord and Taylor or Millie's.We had such fun, talking about fashion and fabrics. In fact, we were an early version of "Project Runway"! I would come up with an idea for a dress and, without having to use any patterns or sketches, Elizabeth would magically make it come to life! People still admire her creations when I wear them.
Even more importantly, she never failed to ask about the well-being of my husband and children and was sincerely delighted to hear about their successes.I truly always appreciated her interest and concern for them.
Elizabeth would also tell me about how fortunate she felt having Paul and Bobbie in her life as well as her grandchildren. She was so very proud of all their accomplishments.
I know that I will think about her until we meet again. Perhaps next time we'll actually start a business together! Until then, Elizabeth will always be loved, missed and remembered.
