So, for the second time, [the Pharisees] summoned the man who had been blind and said:
“Speak the truth before God. We know this fellow is a sinner.”
“Whether or not he is a sinner, I do not know,” the man replied.
“All I know is this: once I was blind and now I can see.”
John, chapter nine, verses 24 to 26

Dr. Thomas Rahilly posted a condolence

Dr. Belonzi was my World History professor at NYIT. He had a unique way of relating history to a movie, sports figure and many other ways of connecting what we already knew to what we had to learn. Although his map making and artwork on the chalkboard was more entertaining than accurate, he got his point across and made it stick. Having attained a PhD myself, I have had many professors during my adult education. Although I don’t remember many of my college professors, I fondly remember Dr. Belonzi. I would have enjoyed knowing him more personally as he was a very interesting person. Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss.
