Obituary of Vincent J. Bellitte

Bellitte, Vincent, J - on May 10, 2014, of Miller Place, NY - Born on July 4, 1920 in Jamica, Queens. Vincent was the second oldest child of four siblings. As a young man he joined the family business and under his supervision Bellitte Bicycles became one of the most successful privately owned bicycle stores in the country. Vincent was a veteran of the Coast Guard during the 2nd World War. In 1950 he married Johanna Allgeier who survives him as well as their four children and six grandchildren. He was a devoted parishioner of St. Dominic's Church until 2003 when he moved from the area. He continued his spiritual path at St. Anthony's Church in Miller Place. Vincent is best remembered for his generosity to his family, friends, and church. He is also remembered for his fun loving nature and joyful spirit. Donations to The Good Shepherd Hospice at 110-Bi-County Blvd., Suite 114, Farmingdale, NY 11735 are welcome.
