McDermott, Michael J. – on Feb. 23, 2022, age 90, of Oyster Bay Cove, NY. Beloved husband of Jane. Loving father of Patricia Elliot, William, Francis, and the late Michael Jr. Also survived by many loving relatives and friends. Michael was a devoted professional Horseman, he trained National Champion Show Horses, and conditioned race horses for leading trainers at Belmont Racetrack. A Judge of horse shows, and owning his own business Pretty Good Farm. Michael was the professional Whip for Meadowbrook Hounds, and Huntsman.
