Obituary of Leonora E. O'Halloran

Newspaper Notice O'Halloran, Leonora of Tarrytown, NY passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family on September 29, 2022. Nora was born in Ozone Park, NY on November 8, 1928 to the late Francesco and Giovannina Sabatini, the youngest of four children. She was predeceased by all of her siblings, Patrick Sabatini, Gene Sabatini and Erma Lappas. After graduating John Adams High School, Nora met and married Daniel O'Halloran on April 18, 1959. Nora and Daniel settled in East Norwich where they raised their three children. Nora was an avid reader, loved doing crossword puzzles and was an accomplished cook, welcoming friends and family to her home for many years. She worked for over thirty years, including at Met Life and Siemens USA. She is survived by her loving children Timothy (Susan), Terrence (Maria) and John (Christi) as well as six adoring grandchildren, Kirk, Claire, William, Shannon, Jack and Lily, and many more nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Oyster Bay Funeral Home, 261 South St., Oyster Bay, NY on Tuesday, October 4, from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Dominic RC Chapel, Oyster Bay, NY on Wednesday, October 5, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY.
