I learned through a phone call to the Bay Club this morning that Lorraine has been gone for some time now. She used to live downstairs from me right below me. I lived in the Bay Club for many years and I always enjoyed my time talking to Lorraine. Sometimes I’d meet her when she came home from work or for a bite to eat. I loved how organized she was. She loved a specific style, French. I would call on her for advice and she’d always come up to my apartment and take a look. I moved to Las Vegas in 2006 and a few nights before I moved. She let me sleep in her apartment because mine was just about empty. When she came to Las Vegas she saw my new apartment and she understood where I moved. She was eager to see it. I have a little pillow in my bedroom to this day and this morning I looked at it as they often do the saying on the pillow reads old friends make the best friends. some of the letters have faded and I plan on going over it to always keep Lorraine in my heart. I always will think fondly of Lorraine and I miss her. I did try to call her a while back before she passed and she didn’t return my phone call and of course now I know why. I hope you resting in peace and in heaven. I know that’s the only place that you will go sincerely Janis Bovino. BCJanis@aol.com

I just heard about the passing of Loraine. I'm so sorry to hear that. I was wondering why she hasn't responded to my latest E-Mail. I remember her playing solitaire on her computer. She loved Mangos with her breakfast. and her eggs and toast with jelly. I remember the day she picked out the orange recliner love seat for her computer room. She enjoyed taking a walk around the pond outside of her building with me. What a sweet woman she was. RIP Lorainne, you are missed by many people including me... " The Commander" . I always signed my E-Mails to her with " Hugs as always".....

I also remember you loved watching Jeopardy on TV. I had made you the picture of Alex Trebeck and put it in a frame for you. So many memories I have from the time I was keeping you company....You loved the French Brioch bread from Bayside Farms..... Sweet Potatoes, Always wearing a belt on your blouse, Ravioli for dinner but only 3 of them because you were watching your weight..... And of course your spoon of Vanilla Ice Cream every night. I will always remember you my dear Lorainne.xoxoxo

Lorraine was truly an amazing person. The best heart and a lot of great memories of her kindness and love. She was the hippest 95 year old I ever met. My family will miss her greatly! Kim
