Pam was a challenge from the day she was born. Perhaps she was too full of life, or perhaps life was not full enough for her. Either way, her passing came too soon and she will be missed. by her children, her parents, and, yes, Grandpa Bill.

One of the many things unexpected in life is learning that a former student, at the age of 38, has gone to her heavenly home. This was the startling and tragic news this week about Pamela Anne Lincon.
I met Pamela many years ago in my office at Locust Valley High School. I was Director of the School to Work Program. Pamela had signed up. She dashed into my office to let me know that Pam Lincon had arrived! She was full of wonder. She radiated fun and compassion. She had a smile that could light up a football field if needed. In short, Pam was full of life
.
Pam always amazed me by the speed with which she wanted to experience life. She was on the fast track. She often slipped but never blamed anyone but herself if things did not go well. Ultimately, I nicknamed her “The Unsinkable Molly Brown” from the movie of that name. She was an original and everyone who knew Pam would agree.
Periodically, since High School, Pam would request a phone chat. She talked about her children and most recently her grandchild. It seemed to be so much responsibility for a young woman of 38.
I do not know why that day, in this year, she left us with a hole in our hearts. Judging by the velocity she tackled life, I am hoping she went home to Jesus because she simply needed a rest. God speed, Pam.

It is with great fondness that The Van Dyke and Doran families remember our first encounters with Pam, a young girl full of life and joy. From the moment we met Pam at the tender age of 12 or 13, it was clear that her infectious laughter and exuberant spirit were special. We were fortunate to witness her genuine enthusiasm for life, which was truly often contagious. One particular great first memory of her that stands out is the first time my sister, Erin, and I joined the Britton and Quinn extended family and friends on an epic family ski trip to Stowe, Vermont. Pam's presence illuminated that journey. Her melodic voice filled the air as she sang, her laughter echoed through the mountains, and her radiant smile warmed the hearts of everyone around her. There were a few moments Jodie and I wished our siblings would get away from us, and we did try, but, first, we were always conditioned to be the concerned older sisters helping keep everyone on point. Pam had a unique ability to create an atmosphere of pure joy and make even simple moments feel extraordinary. Her infectious smile served as a beacon, drawing others towards her light. Her genuine warmth created an environment where everyone felt welcome and encouraged to embrace the present moment. Though Pam's time on earth was far too short, her impact on so many lives will be everlasting. As we bid farewell to Pam, let us remember her for the joy she brought into our lives, the laughter she shared, and the unforgettable memories she gifted us with. May her infectious smile continue to brighten our days and inspire her children and those closest to her to cherish every precious moment. I truly believe she has found solace and peace beyond the boundaries of our earthly realm. May her memory inspire us to reach out to those who carry burdens unseen, to be a source of support and understanding in their times of need. May we honor her memory by cherishing the present moment, embracing life's uncertainties, and finding solace in the knowledge that, as long as we build connections to family, friends, neighbors, colleagues, and even strangers, we can navigate the depths of our stress and discover the boundless beauty that lies beyond. Pam's spirit will forever sing, laugh, and shine with that contagious energy that was uniquely hers. Rest in peace, dear Pam, knowing that your light will forever shine upon your children and more people than you realized, illuminating the path towards a brighter tomorrow.

I echo my daughter Jaime's words. All her loved ones and friends should take comfort in knowing that her suffering is over and that she is with our Lord Jesus who suffered also here on earth. God bless her Parents, Siblings, Children and her extended family.
