How blessed we were to have known someone it is so hard to say good bye to. Robbie was a dear friend, like a brother to us. My kids called him Uncle Robbie. He and Lori are the most caring souls I think I have ever met. I thank God He blessed us with Robbie in our life. I will miss him calling to chat. I will miss his humor. I will miss his contagious smile! Whenever I was down Robbie would stick out his hand and lift me up! I could write for days about the memories and laughs we had. They will be forever in my heart. Our heartfelt condolences to Lori, Ellie, Eva, Dylan and the rest of the Rooney family. You are all in my prayers! Please do not be strangers we love you all! Lori and family, You could always know when Robbie was around because he lit up the room (usually one that he'd renovated) with his energy, his generosity of spirit, his love of life !! He was a force of nature never to be forgotten. We were devastated when the Rooney's moved from Brookville and now we are devastated at this loss. May all the fantastic memories bring you comfort and warmth in the time ahead.

Condolences to the family on you tragic loss from the Rooney cousins in Dublin Mary Jane,Kevin, Sorcha Shane and his Aunty Mary. Robbie stayed with us when we were kids and we had good times as we were around the same age. We met up again in 2013 when he made the trip over for the big family get together of the Rooney Clan in the Hotel in Balbriggan. So impressed at the time that he travelled such a distance. Our hearts go out to you on such a sad occasion

To my favorite Family, You know, as well as I know, that we are family. My heart breaks for you. I cannot believe this is happening. I will miss his daily check in calls where he would always say, "Got a second for me love?" asking me for help with invoicing and converting his PDF's. I will miss him yelling that someone ate his ice cream in the freezer. He wouldn't even try and hide it the next time he put ice cream in the freezer, and someone would always eat it. I will miss how dramatic he was if his food was not 100% the way he wanted it to be. Or how every time I walked into the house, he would say "who's there? Oh its YOU." Most importantly, I will remember the first time he ever told me he loved me. At that moment, I knew that I became family in his eyes. Grief sucks. I just want you all to know, I am only a phone call away. We can cry together. Love you all. Love, Jane <3

Robert I ell always remember you in 71 Dunmanus Road.. When you came to visit my mam and dad, with your cousin Philip, uncle Dessie, and aunty Phyllis. You were only 3/4 younger than me and I had to bring you and Philip out to play with me and my friends. I was about 7/8 and I was in charge lol. I was only looking at photos the other day of you,, Philip, me and my friends all standing with my big dolls outside my friend Nuala's (RIP) house. Then years later you were the DJ at my wedding. Good memories to have. Love Joan x x
