James Raymond Fitzgerald – on April 10, 2024 age 72 of Jupiter, FL, formerly of Locust Valley, NY. Survived by loving spouse Linda Blackwell Fitzgerald. Cherished father to Brian J. Fitzgerald (Mary), James R. Fitzgerald III, Lindsey F. Kelly (Bryan), Ashley F. Nesi (Roland) and stepfather to Austin Ferraro (Ashley). Adored grandfather to Taylor, Mary, Ryan, Annabelle, Georgia, Connor and Hannah. James was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 38 years, Linda Giacalone Fitzgerald. James obtained a mathematics degree from St John's University in 1971 and thereafter joined Chase Bank. 1977, he was presented with the David Rockefeller Presidential Award for outstanding financial contribution to Chase Bank and became one of the youngest Senior Vice Presidents in their bank history. Over his 40 year career in commercial real estate banking James oversaw lending for some of the most iconic development projects in New York City and abroad. James was an avid golfer, boater and enjoyed time spent in his pool, reading. He loved animals, most especially his 13 dogs, and he was a great friend to so many.
