She Would Say He’s Good, Except When He Was Sick She Was So Worried. This News Has Shaken Me To My Core. I Had No Idea Never Imagined Anything Like This. A great soul serves everyone all the time.
A great soul never dies.
It brings us together again and again.
May your gentle spirit find eternal peace.
Marion you are the eldest sister of Sheila and Erika and neighbor friend of Jimmy , those days in Suriname. Later we met in Holland through your sisters we had lovely times in Almere, also with your daughter Arielle. So kind, full of laughter and energy. The word " definitely " was often used by you when you spoke and since than Jimmy called you definitely Marion. We pray for your peace dear friend. You will remain alive in our hearts.
Condolences to Leon, Arielle, Sheila, Erika and the whole family.
Gone too soon.

Q: How did you meet Marion?
A: In the 1990's I had the privilege of meeting Marion, when she welcomed me into her home as a colleague, friend and brother in affection to her husband Leon. I remember Arielle still a quiet, smiling child.
Today I remember her as a gentle being, a focused mother and a devoted wife. I am honored to have known her in the fullness of her life, regretting that I was not able to accompany her on the last leg of her earthly journey.
I am convinced that her legacy as a mother, wife, daughter, friend and relative remains in the hearts and memories of all those who, like me, were able to know her even for a brief period of time.
May you rest in peace dear Marion, may the angels escort you to your heavenly residence where someday we will all have the opportunity to visit you to laugh and enjoy that paradise that guarantees us eternity.

I am grateful to have had you as my aunt. I remember you as a wonderful person who was always there for me. Whenever I was in New York, it felt like being home. You never missed an opportunity to congratulate me, whether it was my birthday or a new accomplishment. And every holiday, we would receive a lovely picture from you on WhatsApp.
Even though you lived far away, you always felt so close. I deeply appreciate everything you meant to me. It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to you. I will always love you. May your soul rest in peace.
Love,

I remember Marion calling, saving that she would come to Holland for the reunion in 2018. It would be the first time she would fly alone. She did it. Having Marion with us was wonderful. She was easy to love, for she genuinely cared for others. When she loved, she loved deeply. That is how I will always remember Marion.
Dear family, no words can ease the pain of losing your wife and mother(in law), but perhaps it may bring some comfort knowing that we are thinking of you, today and in the time to come.
Our deepest sympathy, you are in our thougths,
Iris, Gilliam, Aeyessa & Rogier

It is hard to find the right words at a time like this.
Marion was a special person. She was not only a partner, a parent, a sister, an aunt, but also a source of joy and support for so many of us. Her laugh was infectious, her kindness endless, and her wisdom something that many of us relied on.
There is so much we will miss. But most of all the warmth with which she embraced others, the support she offered in difficult times, and the love she gave without reservation.
We feel the loss keenly. But as we mourn her passing, we can also be grateful for the time we had together. Marion touched us all in one way or another, and those memories will remain with us forever. She lives on in the stories we tell, in the values she taught us, and in the love we shared with her.

Lovely, sweet Marion with that infectious smile. Her courage in the face of almost certain death, will always inspire me to achieve what others couldn’t. She always called me Dr. Mark. Our conversations were always brief in front of the house, except for the time she needed a ride to work. She was so proud of her daughter and happy for her achievement.
