Valerie Giunta Kamin, 71, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024 at her home in Oyster Bay, NY.

Beloved wife of Marc. Loving mother of Leah Kamin (Matthew Schurin), and Sara Kamin Stutler (Justin). Cherished grandmother of Daniel Schurin, Theodore Stutler, Emily Schurin, and Bennett Stutler. Dear sister of Denise Kronimus (Billy), Jimmy Giunta (Liz), and the late Frank Giunta. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. 

Valerie grew up in Oyster Bay, NY and returned to her esteemed town after raising her family in Princeton, Jct, NJ. For over a decade, Valerie worked at Rider University as the Director of student health services.  During her retirement, Valerie cherished her time volunteering at Sagamore Hill and Planting Fields Arboretum.

Valerie met her husband, Marc, while working as a registered nurse at Long Island Jewish hospital. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and wife.   Valerie will be remembered by her family and friends for her immaculate home and tasteful dinner parties.  She had an amazing ability to make those around her feel loved and cared for. She will be remembered by her grandchildren for her picnics, presents, and playtime.  When not indulging her human family, she was indulging her beloved pets and grandpets.
