Words can never quite express the true sadness that is experienced by us all during such a time of loss, nor can they comfort anyone as fully as the memory of a life so well lived as Uncle Andy's.
While his passing leaves yet another void in our lives, our hearts are filled with so many great memories of the Delaney Brothers. Their antics over the years provide us many enduring smiles and the life lessons of what it means to be forever young, not only in your heart, but in how you live your life.
Each time we were together, Andy passed along not only the joys in his life and the many happy memories of "growing up Delaney" but also the realities of the world in which he lived as a young man. From his emotional stories of flight training and sorties over Europe, to building a life after the war and the friends he never forgot that were left behind, to all the tall tales of family adventures. Andy's life, a Delaney life, will always be alive and vibrant as we retell those stories to our children each time we are together. We think he would be very happy.
Our thoughts, our prayers and most of all our smiles are with you.......
Love, Anne and Mike

It's hard to think of a single memory that stands out about my Granddad, because he has always been a huge part of my life, and for that, I am very thankful and fortunate. I am grateful to him for giving me a loving family, for always being there, along with my Granny, and supporting me in everything I did, and greeting me with a huge smile and hug each and every time we saw one another. I love you Grannddad, and will miss you very much.

All i can think to say is how fortunate I am to have met Andrew Delaney (Grandad), and become apart of his wonderful family. I don't quite remember when i started referring to him as grandad but i do know he welcomed me with open arms. One of the memories i have is a day that i had lunch with him and granny. We just sat at the table, ate, and talked as if he'd known me for years. I know that my husband (David)has always looked up to Grandad and I know in my heart that if David follows in his grandfathers footsteps I'm confident we will have a strong marriage and he will be a wonderful father. That is just from the influence Grandad played in his life.
To a great man, I love you and you will be missed.

I was so sad to learn of Uncle Andy's death from Uncle Tom.
My memories of him are many. The first thought that enters my mind was of a warm, smiling face and huge wrapping arms that would greet you at the front door.
I also will never forget the many, many visits to Aunt Marge and Uncle Andy's... Thanksgiving was the best!
As a child, I can remember that Nancy, Bob and I couldn't contain our excitement when Mom would tell us that we were going to visit the "Delaney's."
Their house was my favorite! As i look back, I can remember feeling so safe and happy there. I loved to sit and listen as Uncle Andy and the adults would talk in the living room. He had the greatest laugh!
I recall that Uncle Andy always seemed bigger than life to me and I know that i was so very fortunate to have known him and to have had him as my "Uncle".
Dear Aunt Marge, Peggy, Cathy, Janet, Betty, Billy and Carol, I know how incredibly hard it is to lose someone you love so much. He was very special. My love to each of you. I hope it helps a little to know how much he was loved. Take care.
Love, Sue

What a very beloved and respected man. I am lucky to have had him be a part of my life and to be a part of his family. My greatest wish is that my newborn daughter, his 4th great-grandchild, could have met him. We will keep our memories of him vivid for her. We wish we could be there to say good-bye. He and the entire family are in our thoughts and prayers every day.
