Your smile was contagious, it lightened up the whole room. Each morning at work you made the office have a sweet scent when you toasted your cinnamon bread. Each time I smelt it, it brought back fond memories of my childhood. You were the person who taught me how to make coffee in the morning, 3 scoops, I'll never forget it. I shall deeply miss Joanne, but she will always be remembered warmly in my heart. A memory: when my mom passed away about 12 years ago, I knew that Joanne loved cut glass. I told her my mom was a big collector of cut glass and altho' I had a large glass vase with a crack in it, I gave it to her because she reminded me how beautiful that memory of my mom would continue with a dry flower arrangement. She loved that vase, and I loved Joanne's warmth. Needless to say, this is a brief memory in a much broader chapter, bit I did ador spending time with her at work. My heart goes out to her loved ones. I just returned from a holiday to find out this sadness, and know she will rest in peace. love, Nina

I know the pain. I can only offer solace, and the idea that, although the pain never really goes away, we learn to live with it and take nourishment from the many, happy memories which cause our loved ones to live on forever in our hearts. Carmine and family, Joanne was a beautiful person outwardly, but she was also beautiful inwardly in Christ. We thank God for bringing her into our family through Marcy and David's marriage. Our times together were to short but we will see her in eternity worshiping and glorifying God. We have lost grandparents, fathers, mothers, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, etc and we grieve at the lose of a loved one. Even though we are sad when a loved on passes, we are also joyful knowing that they are in Heaven with our Savior and will at His second coming live in a perfect world (A New Heaven and A New Earth; heaven and earth combined with our Savior as King). We look forward to joining Joanne there to enjoy her smile and grace. God bless you and keep you, God make His grace shine upon you, and give you peace. We've known Joanne for close to 50 years. Our get togethers with all the friends for weddings, bridal showers, dinners, barbecues, etc., over those many years will always bring back fond memories of you. The conversations about our children, grandchildren, etc., will always stick in my mind. I remember our last dinner together with all the friends at a Brooklyn Restaurant in October 2006. I was sitting next to you and you spoke about the birth of your new grandson, Lorenzo, in Georgia, your son Chris and his wife Mary.
