Julie Dupuis posted a condolence
Karen,
I will love you always, even if I never met you. You see, you were my mother's best friend in Florida and in her heart, also. I'm sure you had plenty of conversations on the golf course about me, the supposed wayward child...but still got the job done. My Ma, Erika has a heart of gold, like you did. From just listening to her talk about you, all the time, I might add, You were a tough cookie, strong and didn't go down without a fight. Even if you didn't want to fight anymore, you still did. I will admire you, always., even though I never met you.
You were my mother's best friend...Thank you, Karen
Love Julie

Karen was the only person who I have met in my almost 60 years on this earth who opened her arms with love and warmth to any and every person. She could drive you crazy starting up a conversation with any person who came within a foot of her. Most of the time those people became her life long friend. She has left a large hole in my life and I am so very, very sad.

In loving memory of a special person:
Karen was loved by all
She had a strong soul and a
powerful spirit.
She kept going and going even if she wasn't feeling up to it.
She was an inspiration to me and also my best friend.
She fought a good fight to the end.
She made it home and was not alone--she had her family and friends. Auf vedersehn my friend Erika

I just heard of the recent death of dear Karen. I have missed her very much and remember how she fought for years and was so optimistic. Although we were mere acquaintances, I loved her from the moment we met. Her love of everyone and her animals spoke for her. A delightful woman whom I will always remember. My thoughts and prayers are with Fred, Stephanie and family. Much love, Fran

We will always remember Karen for her wonderful sense of humor, her love of life, family and friends. She inspired us all who had the pleasure of knowing her by living each day to the fullest. Karen loved my husbands music and each time Joe sings Louie Armstrong's song,"What a Wonderful World" it will be in memory of her. She's at peace now after a long hard struggle. We will miss her dearly.

My dear Karen,
With all my love around you.
Mes pensées vont aussi à Fred, David, Stephanie et tous leurs proches.

To Fred Fogelman & Family
We want to extend to you our most heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your lovely wife, mother, grandmother. We did not know Karen well, but feel honored to have been acquainted with her. She was so brave, optimistic, and determined. We spoke about a month ago about how life at this age is not what we thought it would be. She told me that her illness was in full swing. It was to be our last conversation. I, of course, did not know it was "good-bye". Karen truly was an inspiration to everyone. I will always remember her at the range practicing her golf swing either at the Classics or at the Flamingo.

We wish to pass on our best wishes and support at this terribly sad time to all of Karen's family, particularly her son and our dear friend Dave. We'll never forget how vivacious and full of life Karen was the brief times we met her, particularly at Dave & Cecile's wedding in France. A warmer, friendlier person you couldn't wish to meet.
