Nitsos, Arion Ed on Sep. 4, 2008, age 85, of Bayville, LI. Beloved husband of the late Athena. Loving father of Ares (Themis), and Karena Wasilchuk (James). Proud grandfather of Alex and Athena. Dear brother of Helen Baker. Also survived by loving nieces and nephews. Arion was a retired furrier who owned and operated Ed Nitsos Furs, Inc. of New york City. His real passion was art which he pursued vigoroously after retirement. He was a very accomplished water color artist and served as President for two Art Leagues. He was honored by The American Water Color Society when one of his paintings was selected to hang in their show.He also served as President of his Church in 1981-1982. Visiting Oyster Bay Funeral Home, 261 South St., Oyster Bay, LI Saturday 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass at The Greek Orthodox Church of the Resurrection, 1400 Cedar Swamp Road, Brookville, LI on Monday at 12:00 p.m. Interment Locust Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to The Greek Orthodox Church of the Resurrection would be appreciated.
