Obituary of Helen Angels

Helen Angels, 86, passed away peacefully at home, in Laurel Hollow, on the afternoon of Wednesday May 20th. Helen grew up in Greenwich Village the youngest of six siblings. During WWII she met her husband and love of her life, then Staff Sergeant, George Angels. They married in September of 1945. Helen loved music, especially Jazz, and could tear up the dance floor better than anyone, most recently at the 2006 wedding of her eldest grandchild. Helens' love of fashion was continuous throughout her life and she was always impeccably dressed right down to her Ferragamo shoes. Helen also loved cooking and entertaining. She will be remembered in the kitchen for her fabulous holiday meals which will never be matched. Helen was also politically active and donated to a variety of charitable organizations. She was smart, quick-witted, and always in on the joke. Helen is survived by her daughter Lynda, her son Geoff and his wife Lee Ann. Her grandchildren Jonathan and Samantha along with her husband Alex. Those who knew her well would say she was "one of a kind". She will be missed.
