Obituary of Annie R. Ellis

Annie R. Ellis was born in Walstonburg, NC and attended H.B. Suggs High School in Farmville, NC. When she graduated in 1968 she came to New York to live in Oyster Bay. Annie was an employee of Anderson products for more than 20 years and was employed by Mill Max Inc., until her retirement in 2008. Annie was a very loving and caring person who had many friends and a personality that attracted many people. She leaves behind her mother Annie M. Ellis, her lifelong companion Kenneth Reid, two sisters Hazel Ellis of New York City, Amanda Dinkins of Raleigh, North Carolina and a brother Michael Ellis of Clifton Park, NY. She leaves two god-daughters; Ashiya Giddens and Nicole Turney. Also her lifelong friend Shirley Turney, and many more. To all that loved Annie she was calm, peaceful, compassionate and dependable. Our hearts are saddened and our eyes are filled with tears. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Oyster Bay Funeral Home. Services were held on Thursday October 15, 2009 at Hood AME Zion Church. Interment Pine Hollow Cemetery, Oyster Bay, NY.
