Obituary of Bruce C. Petersen

Petersen, Bruce C. - on Apr. 15, 2013, age 56, of Wantagh, NY. Beloved son of Hazel Petersen and the late Walter Petersen. Brother of Susan Petersen Lubow. Uncle and Godfather of Sarah Lubow. Survived by the loves of his life, Bethany Thomas and daughter Jemma. A member of Hempstead Golf and Country Club for 55 years, he leaves this world as Junior Club Champion, Club Champion, and Senior Club Champion. He also was a lifeguard at Jones Beach for almost 40 years. His strong ties to all these men and women have been exhibited by their loyal and loving outreach during his recent illness. A Memorial Service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Oyster Bay, 60 E. Main Street, Oyster Bay, NY on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations are being accepted in his name to the First Presbyterian Church of Oyster Bay.
