We started in the ER together at Stony Brook. On our first day in orientation he kept asking me questions about our schedule I just kept on saying I don't know. I was thinking this guy is driving me crazy! Not long after working with Michael do you fall in love with his sense of humor, fun and good work ethic. I always enjoyed working with him. The best is he knew my husband from playing softball upstate. I will miss his laugh and smile.

I was (I cannot believe that I am writing this in past tense) a co-worker of Mike's when he was the bed coordinator in the Nursing Office at Stony Brook University Medical Center. He was a truly nice person.
I remember one Halloween, he came into my office in a costume and scared the living daylights out of my boss and I. When we saw that it was Mike we felt a whole lot better and laughed ourselves silly. Mike had a really great sense of humor!
I still cannot believe that he's really gone. We were all in a state of shock when we heard of Mike's passing.
My thoughts and prayers are with Diana and the children. Mike's parents, siblings and their families and all of Mike's friends and co-workers at Stony Brook University Medical Center and the Veteran's Home at Stony Brook, he was so happy working there, he told me so a few months ago.
Mike will be missed by one and all.
