My husband and I first met Debbie three years ago at St. Gertrude's Church. We were there for a healing Mass. Debbie came over to us and comforted us and gave me the names of doctors she recommended. I was recently dignosed with cancer and was afraid. She gave me such strength and hope. I can see her now sitting beside the Blessed Mother and praying for everyone. I wish I could have spent more time with her. I consider myself blessed to have known her. Love her friend Helen

Debbie has always been a successful person. Some people excel at some aspects of their lives but not so much in other aspects. Debbie excelled in everything she touched. I knew Debbie in high school and, throughout our start at Hofstra, used to car pool. No matter the traffic, she would always make it there, down Hempstead Turnpike, in exactly 20 minutes! It was as if every traffic light knew she was coming and would turn green for her. I will always remember her as a smart, caring, strong person. Clearly her legacy is one of love and strength and she will forever be remembered by all that knew her. My condolences to her family and friends.

I met Debbie when we were both 18 during our first year of college. I remember many happy shopping trips, nights out dancing, and hanging out with friends. My favorite memory is our Friday brunches. We would have a long break between classes and we would go to IHOP and get chocolate chip pancakes and talk about school, guys (lots of guy talk), our families and our plans for the future. Even after all those years, if one of us mentioned chocolate chip pancakes, we would smile. I will miss her terribly but as long as we remember the happy times and her kind spirit, she will live in us. Miss you, Deb!

Al, Jaquelin and Briana,
You have been , each of you, the heart and soul of Debbie's life. As have you, I have been so blessed that her friendship and faith so deeply touched my life. Al, your devotion to Debbie, and, in turn, her devotion to you over all these years of marriage is a constant reminder to me of the power and virtues of love. Deb was a beautiful person in all ways. During the 10 years I have known her she was the kind of person who was always there for you. She beamed with love and caring for everyone as she was truly a person dedicated to bringing happiness into our world. I can remember anytime I would go to her office the most important papers were the color drawings her two daughters had drawn as they were proudly displayed around the room.
Other evidence of her faith and her love of life was how she cared for others who were ill. She and friends would form prayer groups and faithfully pray to help others through their challenges much like many of us did for her. Even when she was going through the hardest of times with her own health she would still have so much time and energy to reach out to help others deal with their health issues.
As a business woman she was top of the class as her love for people rewarded her with a successful business career. She was great with people and knew how to help them shine and be successful too. She was a hard worker and was very creative and diligent in all that she did.
For I am most grateful to have known and worked with such a beautiful person and for that I am truly blessed.
We will all miss Deb deeply and her memories will live on as another example of how people should act and embrace life.
May she rest in peace and be in our hearts forever.

Al, Jacquelin and Briana,
What can I say. I have lost not only a dear friend, but someone who was like a sister to me. Debbie was the strongest, most determined person I will ever have the privlege of knowing. She taught me many lessons of love, faith and determination I will miss her dearly.
