I just now read of Rick's passing. May his soul rest in peace. My late brother, John Sorosick, and Rick were friends for many years...Oyster Bay and beyond. Rick periodically would call me (John's sister, Jeanne) to ask how John was doing when John was so sick. I have fond memories of Rick - some of them very, very funny. ......and I remember clearly when Rick jumped his "winning jump" to hold the NYS record.......God bless all.

I was very saddened to learn of Rick's passing. I knew him well at Amherst, I was Managing Editor of the Amherst STUDENT newspaper, for whom he regularly drew wonderful cartoons that lampooned the college administration and helped bring about many needed reforms. He always had a wry sense of humor, a wonderful smile that lit up the room. I'm sure that he excelled in everything he did after graduation and that he was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. My condolences and very best wishes to his family. E. David Luria, Amherst '58, Washington DC

Please accept my sympathy. He was a modest man who showed respect to others. May family and friends bring you comfort at this time.

Rick was always so proud of holding, to this day, OBHS's long jump record . He also was always so proud of his Bermuda shorts; often creatively mixing plaids with stripes!
He contributed greatly to "his" OB community through church and civic participation.
Barbara Mallon, long time dear friend.
